Starting and finishing in Queenstown this tour begins with the stunning beauty of the Routeburn Track. Your fully guided and supported 4 day hike is with Ultimate Hikes and you spend the evenings in the wonderfully equipped lodges before returning to Queenstown. From Queenstown you'll drive north to the West Coast and the glacier region before heading to Christchurch on board the Tranz Alpine Scenic Train. After visiting the evolving city of Christchurch there is time to self explore the tracks and trails of Mt. Cook National Park before venturing back to Queenstown.

Day 5: Descend to the forested lowlands, before you return by coach to Queenstown

Day 6: Your rental car is delivered and then you'll drive over the Crown Range and through Haast Pass to the West Coast
